New Spring Designs

Below we have pictured for you 3 brand new designs from Farmhouse Yarns.  Pay particular attention to the "Harvest Sweater", the first design we have offered for men's wear, designed by Kristin Hansen, The Knitting Nanny.  You will be seeing more from Farmhouse and from the Knitting Nanny for the menfolk in upcoming weeks.  Kristin chose the Farmhouse Silk Blend because of its year-round wearability and durability.  I always say 1/3, 1/3, 1/3.  The 1/3 silk content gives the yarn strength, the 1/3 wool content gives it memory and warmth when you want it, and the 1/3 cotton content makes the yarn great for summer garments and coolness when you want it.  And the retail price point for a 350-yard skein of this great machine-washable (on gentle, please!) yarn is a bargain for hand-dyed, especially.

The One Evening Purse takes just one skein of Fatter Sheep Yarn, so if you have yet to try this great new yarn introduced last fall, here is a quick project for your customers to try without a huge investment of moola!  Very fun, especially when embellished with cool buttons, purse handles, or estate jewelry brooches.

The Georgetown Wrap II is similar to the original first version of this wrap introduced in January.  But, this one is worked up in Trixie's Loopy Mohair for a luxurious, cozy wrap.  The gauge and measurements are different enough that it really called for its own pattern, so here we are with Georgetown II.  The knitted lace stitch closely resembles the time old tradition of "netting" techniques used for centuries in casting nets and fishing nets, and those darling "snoods" in the 19th century.

Each of the patterns is immediately available to ship, as is the yarn to go with the designs.  Let me know if you would like to give these brand new patterns a try in your shop.  For now--it is back to shearing sheep for me!!
