Farmhouse Yarns, LLC welcomes designers to submit designs and patterns to offer our retail customers. After all, I cannot possibly do all the designing myself in between barn chores and dying pots of yarn! Following are the designs currently available, and the yarns each design requires. Suggested retail pricing for each pattern is $5.00. Patterns are sold in groups of 3, and come in individual plastic sleeves. They are written in easy-to-follow step by step directions. We include our contact information so that we are able to assist you and your customers directly, in the event that any assistance is needed. Since I knit each item myself several times before publishing the pattern, I can usually answer any questions immediately.
I am often asked how I arrive at some of the names for the patterns. My husband and I are avid boaters, and we to escape on our boat most summer weekends, throwing the anchor out and enjoying our favorite New England harbors, coves and marinas. Of course, I take all of my knitting with me. Many designs are named after wherever I was when I completed the the design. There are so many great memories associated with the Shelter Island Tank, Sag Harbor Shawl, Nantucket Shell, Block Island Bag, Montauk Poncho, Long Island Bag, Cape Cod Bag, and so on.
