Yarn: Fat Sheep Yarn by Farmhouse Yarns, or Woodland Spun by Farmhouse Yarns, two 110-yard skeins (You will have almost nothing leftover, so if you do not knit on gauge, you will probably want to have an extra skein on hand just in case. . Example in photo worked in Fall Flowers colorway. You may use Andy’s Merino, Roxanne’s Mohair, or Maude’s Mountain Spun Yarn by Farmhouse Yarns if you work double stranded throughout. Three 200-yard skeins required for these yarns. Needles: US size 11 32” circular needle, or size to achieve gauge. Size: Finished Measurements: 13” diameter and 6” high before felting. 11-1/2” in diameter, 5” high after felting. Basket can be felted more completely than example in photo, and resulting basket will be a little smaller than finished measurements given. Gauge: 12 stitches and 16 rounds equal 4 inches over stockinette stitch. Skill Level: Intermediate—requires the ability to knit in the round on double pointed needles and to follow basic cabling instructions. |
