Block Island Bag

Number pieces in packaging:3

Yarn: Fat Sheep Yarn Bulky Weight by Farmhouse Yarns, 4 110-yard skeins OR Andy’s Merino or Roxanne’s Mohair by Farmhouse Yarns, LLC, 4 200-yarnd skeins. IF YOU ARE USING ANDY’S or ROXANNE’S, WORK THE PATTERN HOLDING 2 STRANDS OF YARN THROUGHOUT. You will need 2 skeins color A for base and straps, 1 skein color B, 1 skein color C. Example on upper right is shown in “Rose Garden” colorway.

Needles: 1 size 10-1/2 circular needle, 24” or 29” long.
2 double pointed needles, size 10 (plus or minus one size is OK).
4 stitch markers, one should be contrasting color to mark the beginning of the round.
Darning or tapestry needle.

Gauge: Approximately 2-1/2 stitches per inch. (gauge is not as critical because this is a felted item—so if your gauge is between 2 and 3 stitches to the inch, you will be fine.)

Sizes: Finished bag measures approximately 12” high and 18” wide (excluding strap).

Skill Level: Intermediate
