April in Paris Beret

Number pieces in packaging:3

Yarn: Lumpy Bumpy Yarn by Charlene by Farmhouse Yarns, LLC, one 150-yard skein. Example shown in Fall Flowers colorway.

Needles: US size 9 16-inch circular needle for ribbing.
US size 10 (8 mm) 16-inch circular needle, or size to obtain gauge.
1 set size US 9 double pointed needles, or size to obtain gauge.
Stitch marker.

Gauge: 3-1/2 stitches per inch over stockinette using larger needles. Be sure to check this, as this pattern requires just under 1 skein to complete. Even though Farmhouse Yarns makes their skeins with a few extra yards on them, if you do not knit to proper gauge on this design, you could run short of yarn.

Sizes: Adult, one size fits most (20”-22” around). You can make a smaller size beret, say for a child, by casting on 48 stitches instead of the 60 that are called for. If you do this, remember that you will have 12 fewer stitches on the needle than the pattern says after each increase and decrease row.

Skill Level: Intermediate (Also with Easy Easy Version).
